11/14 Funders Call with Department of Education to Discuss New i3 Grantee Finalists

Today the U.S. Department of Education announced the 23 Investing in Innovation (i3) grant applicants who have been slated to receive grants in the 2011 i3 competition. This year’s applicants included school districts, groups of districts, and nonprofits in partnership with districts or consortium of schools. The finalists, selected from nearly 600 applicants, must now secure private matching funds equivalent to at least 5% of Scale-up, 10% of Validation, or 15% of Development awards in the next month to receive the grant.

On Monday, November 14th, join U.S. Department of Education Assistant Deputy Secretary Jim Shelton and Director of Strategic Partnerships Suzanne Immerman for a conference call to learn about this year’s i3 competition, the highest-rated applicants, and the opportunities for grantmakers to participate in the next phase.
